Sustainability at our core
We are committed to creating a sustainable future, and for us, this commitment is more than just words. Today, sustainability credentials are often compromised, with opaque supply chains being a major concern. Our goal is to disrupt this status quo and foster transparency and accountability throughout our operations.
We have dedicated significant efforts to ensuring transparency across our entire value chain, from production to disposal. The sight of vast quantities of fabric waste accumulating in landfills and the resulting damage to our planet is disheartening. While fast fashion has contributed significantly to this issue, we invite you to join us on the path to slow fashion, where each decision we make plays a crucial role in preserving our environment.
Track & Trace
In collaboration with KPMG, we have developed a Sustainability Index Calculator to determine the carbon footprint of every product manufactured at Ananta. We prioritize transparency throughout our operations. With our transparent supply chain, customers can trace the journey of their garment from the hands of artisans to their wardrobes, fostering a deeper connection to the craft and the community involved.
What sets our calculator apart is its utilization of blockchain technology, ensuring immutability and transparency. This means that every carbon footprint calculation is verifiable and traceable, guaranteeing the highest level of accountability.
Material Selection
At Ananta, we take great care in selecting materials for our garments to align with our sustainability goals. We prioritize the use of eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, recycled fabrics, and responsibly sourced fibers. Our commitment to sustainability extends to ensuring transparency and traceability in our supply chain. We work with reputable suppliers who adhere to strict ethical and environmental standards, allowing us to offer products that are not only stylish but also environmentally conscious. With Ananta, you can trust that every garment you wear embodies our dedication to a more sustainable fashion industry.
Dyes and Colors
One-fifth of water pollution is due to textile dyes flowing into the water. Transitioning from synthetic dyes to natural dyes is the only way we need to move forward to make this process sustainable.
Manufacturing
Ananta's manufacturing process is meticulously designed to reduce our carbon footprint at every step. We prioritize sustainable practices, optimize energy usage, and implement eco-friendly technologies to minimize environmental impact while delivering high-quality products.
Our fabrics are carefully chosen, organically sourced to minimize harm to the environment, farmers, and us. With certifications like GOTS and Oeko Tex, we ensure not only environmental responsibility but also textile safety from harmful substances, from yarn to finished product. We ensure that every fabric is responsibly produced and leaves no adverse impact on the planet or its people. These certifications and labels provide credible information about the making of the fabric for the consumers to take informed decision.
Our products will reach to you in brown packaging as we all know how plastic adversely affects the planet. It is not only biodegradable but also reduces our carbon footprint.
One-fifth of water pollution is due to textile dyes flowing into the water. Transitioning from synthetic dyes to natural dyes is the only way we need to move forward to make this process sustainable. Natural dyes are derived from plants, fruits, flowers and minerals, eliminating the use of harmful chemicals and reducing water pollution. We use Azo-free and organic dyes which is safe for both the humans and environment and reduces the risk of harmful exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals during textile production, wearing, and disposal. We use water based inks as an eco-friendly alternative to solvent based inks. By implementing these practices we bridge the gap between art and nature. This shift is crucial so we ensure our artisans implement these practices for all the artforms.
Fabric Sourcing
Transparency about the production process, including supplier selection, manufacturing practices, and quality controls to ensure ethical standards are met.
Plastic-free Packaging
Our materials are carefully chosen, organically sourced to minimize harm to the environment, farmers, and us. With green seal certified materials, we ensure not only environmental responsibility but also safety and quality.
Production Locations
Ananta's products are crafted across various locations in India to uphold the authenticity of each promoted craft. We produce garments where the craft's cluster is located, often leading us to remote areas and villages, ensuring that each piece reflects the rich heritage and skill of its origin. This approach not only supports local artisans but also preserves traditional craftsmanship, making each Ananta product a unique cultural treasure.
